| Zusammenfassung: | Objective: To determine the thickness and corneal endothelial cell loss after phacoemulsification cataract senile LOCS III 0-3 by the technique of "Tilt and Tumble". Method: We evaluated 32 patients who attended the ophthalmology East General Hospital "Dr. Domingo Luciani "from October, 2010 to April, 2011, with a diagnosis of senile cataract LOCS III 0-3; Results: The differences between corneal thickness and endothelial cell count before and postoperatotio that were statistically significant. There was no relationship between the time and the power of phacoemulsification, the opening time of the anterior chamber and increased corneal thickness. Conclusions: This study showed that the correlation between endothelial cell loss and corneal thickness in times precocious, but not in later times. And these variables did not contribute the endothelial damage. |
