Descripció
Sumari:Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid which transdermal administration which can be used for the control of the chronic and intense pain. Objective: to compare the administration of the transdermal Fentanyl of 25 μgr/h Vs. 50 μg/h for post-surgical pain in patients who have been through and abdominal hysterectomy. Methods: We selected 30 patients with a benign gynecological pathology to who were administered transdermals Fentanyl the night 2 prior to surgery with a follow up of 48 hours after the post-surgical period, through 3 scales of pain evaluation; vital signs and analgesic rescue administration in case it was needed. Results: There were not significant differences statistically in both groups studied/analysed, related to demographics and vital signs characteristics. There were significant differences statistically referring to the pain control in each of the evaluated scales and the administration of morphine in rescue dosages, favoring the group of Fentanyl 50 μg/h. from the group of Fentanyl 50 μrg/h. 100 % of the patients presented nausea and 73,3 % threw up within the 6 hours following the post-surgical period; resulting statistically significant. Conclusion: The transdermal Fentanyl 50 μgr/h presented a higher analgesic effectiveness in controlling the post-surgical pain with a higher outcome/appearance of adverse symptoms.
