| Summary: | This Special Project, to obtain a Master in International Law and Politics, aims to analyze the performance of the International Atomic Energy Agency for the lifting of sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran. To achieve the main objective, the following specific objectives were established: 1) Define International Atomic Energy Agency; 2) Describe the progress of the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran and identify what causes the Iranian Nuclear Crisis; 3) Explain the role played by the International Atomic Energy Agency in the lifting of sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran; and, 4) Analyze the impact on the International Relations in regards of the lifting of sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The design of this research will be documentary and bibliographic, and located in a descriptive level. The analysis will be made through the Theory of Institutional Neoliberalism, proposed mainly by Keohane, who considers the international organizations are key factors to achieve cooperation between states. This research will be developed first through the study of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the nuclear program of Iran and finally through the analysis of Implementation Day of the joint comprehensive plan of action – this, previously verified by the Agency, allowed the lifting of sanctions to Iran, as it establishes the main effects it had. This research shows the fundamental role that the International Atomic Energy Agency played in the implementation of the agreement to the lifting of sanctions against Iran. |
