Description
Summary:To compare the efficacy of transversus abdominis plane block (PTA) with 0.25% bupivacaine vs levobupivacaine 0.25% in adult patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Method: a randomized, prospective, comparative trial with 72 patients between 18 and 60 years divided into 2grupos (B and LB) who have measured the level of postoperative pain by visual analog scale at room entrance anesthesia care within 30 minutes, to the 1st hour, at 6 hours and 24 hours after surgery. Results: The PTA blockade reduces the score on the visual analog scale (VAS), after 24 hours postoperative VAS scores in each group was 0. Postoperatively, the opioid requirement was 33.3% in group B and 25.0% in the group without significant differences LB. There were no complications associated with the technique of blocking. Conclusion: PTA block, as multimodal analgesia component, produces better analgesia using levobupivacaine 0.25% in a volume of 30 ml bilateral compared with 0.25%,
