| Summary: | To describe an ex vivo training model for single site laparoendoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods: The hepatobiliary system of the Sus scrofa domesticus was used, placed in conventional black boxes. It was taken into consideration if the model was able to allow for the practice of each step of the procedure. We determined the impact of the practice in overcoming the difficulties of the performance assessment of two surgeons in five consecutive sessions using task time as the evaluated parameter. Results: The described model allowed the residents to perform each step of the single site laparoendoscopic cholecystectomy. Practice reduced the difficulties of the technique, demonstrated in shorter task times. Conclusion: The proposed model allows the performance of single site laparoendoscopic cholecystectomy. |
