| Summary: | The present work aims primarily Grade stating the importance of conservation of the collections of the libraries of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) and the buildings that house them, taking into account the structural, environmental and techniques required information in these units. The instrument is oriented to field work, with the intention to highlight the conservation value has on each of the pieces included in the collection and each headquarters building libraries. The study determined the level of conservation of collections, diagnoses through various documents, evaluation of the principles used for the preservation and conservation, as well as identifying potential spoilage agents to the collection. To do this, we analyzed a set of libraries, which were selected from the whole having the UCV, and the information obtained is derived recommendations for improvement in each case study. The work is structured in three chapters for better understanding, and supplemented with findings, recommendations, references and appendices. |
