| Summary: | In Caracas the limit between the private property and the public space has had a fast vertical growing especially in recent years. The search for isolation from the city has made a favorable atmosphere for the aterialization of these boundaries, called property lines, turning them in railings and walls each time more prominent that have brought series of complications deteriorating the spaces around them. Among the main spaces affected for this boundary we can find the setback, the empty space between the building and the city, which acquire residual characteristics in most cases when it find itself traped between the building and the wall. On the other side the street is unplug from the activities that come from the private property, especially on the ground floor, what makes even stronger the detachment with it. Additionally, this group of circumstances have been working together to deteriorate the urban image, in a formula than extend through an immense part of the metropolis. The steps to walk through the discussion of these themes go around a qualitative methodology, which is supported basically in hermeneutic methods that have been associated with the process of the architectural project to build a specific structure for this piece of work. Precisely through this methods an analysis have been made to recognize the elements of the problem, to go deep on each of them and to show the circumstances that made them built this detriment on the relationships of the city. In the same way a group of categories and operations is proposed to mediate on the limits, strategies that are going to boost a series of interventions that show possible ways to econcile this problem through architecture. The proposals on this complicated situation allow showing a parallel future different to the current course of the city, and also make it possible to register some of the options that are thinkable through the exchange as a bridge for mutual growing. Showing this way that some of the most interesting, productive and positives ways to develop the city, can be found in the interaction between the different gradients of the public and private entity. |
