Description
Summary:Objective: to analyze the changes of AASI and BNP in hypertensive patients before and after antihypertensive treatment, attending Cardio-metabolic consultation Dr. Carlos Arvelo Military Hospital, the period between January and June 2015. Method: will conduct a paired trial, open clinical, randomized, where recent hypertensive patients meet the inclusion criteria will be randomly assigned to the working group. Monitoring will be conducted by three months after initiation of antihypertensive treatment. The mean blood pressures were compared according to ABPM, AASI and BNP from the first to the third month in the group to evaluate success in achieving control, and the frequency of cardiovascular complications and death during the study will also analyze. Results: significant difference was found between the values of ASI and BNP before and after 3 months of antihypertensive treatment p = <0,01 regardless of antihypertensive treatment used in the study group. Conclusion: The AASI and BNP showed to be modified with antihypertensive treatment, and that this change is positively related to changes in some parameters of the ABP Monitoring, such as Charge, Pulse Pressure and Blood Pressure Systolic
