Description
Summary:Objective: To analyze the predictive value of cervical length transvaginal as a predictor of successful induction labor with misoprostol. Method: We performed a prospective descriptive correlational study , it was determined cervical length by transvaginal through a total of 150 patients presenting to the Emergency subsequently proceeded to ripen the cervix through the application of 25 mg of misoprostol vaginal fornix to a maximum of 3 doses, and are reassessed every 4 hours to see if labor has started . Result : 73.3% of the patient received 1 dose of misoprostol , cervical length the relationship between the number of doses of misoprostol , was statistically significant (2= 61.335 , p = 0.000 ) with 86.3% with cervicometria < 30mm received 1 dose of misoprostol , 83.8 % with cervicometria > 30mm received 2 doses of misoprostol. Conclusions: the cervical length is a predictor of successful labor induction with misoprostol.
