Métodos: se apoyó en una investigación de campo, descriptivo y documental. La población estuvo conformada por el personal docente de la institución 249 docentes entre ordinarios y contratados; se realizó un cálculo de la muestra para este estudio que resultó de 83 docentes y fue un muestreo de tipo probabilístico. La investigación se realizó en dos etapas: la primera etapa: para la recolección de datos y el diagnóstico se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y se procedió a utilizar el cuestionario como instrumento de investigación. La otra etapa consistió en una matriz de análisis de contenido que permitió la determinación de los criterios para la elaboración de un programa en bioética. Resultados discusión: el 78% de los encuestados manifiestan no tener capacitación para la toma de decisiones para la resolución de dilemas éticos y bioéticos que se presentan en la comunidad universitaria. Conclusión: los docentes universitarios reconocen la importancia de enseñar a los estudiantes aspectos éticos de la vida y expresan la necesidad y requieren contar con información, educación y formación en conocimientos sobre aspectos éticos y bioéticos. Recomendación: se hace necesario la implementación de un programa de formación en bioética que capacite, eduque y forme a los docentes universitarios en los aspectos éticos y bioéticos. Objective: To propose a university training program whose transversal axis is Bioethics, for the teaching staff of the CUFM. Methods: it was supported in a field, descriptive and documentary investigation. The population was conformed by the teaching staff of the institution 249 teachers between ordinary and contracted; A sample calculation was made for this study that resulted from 83 teachers and was a probabilistic type sampling. The investigation was carried out in two stages: the first stage: for the data collection and the diagnosis, the survey technique was used and the questionnaire was used as a research instrument. The other stage consisted of a matrix of content analysis that allowed the determination of the criteria for the elaboration of a program in bioethics. Results discussion: 78% of the respondents stated that they do not have training in decision-making for the resolution of ethical and bioethical dilemmas that are presented in the university community. Conclusion: university teachers recognize the importance of teaching students ethical aspects of life and express the need and require information, education and training in knowledge about ethical and bioethical aspects.
