Por esta razón se quiso conocer si los aportes de la Metodología Montessori podían generar cambios en docentes en formación y en las instituciones donde realizan sus prácticas. El Objetivo General de la investigación fue Determinar el conocimiento y expectativas que poseen los estudiantes de las Prácticas Profesionales III de la mención Preescolar y Primera Etapa de Básica sobre la Metodología Montessori y su aplicación en el trabajo docente en Educación Inicial, a fin de atender sus carencias y expectativas en torno a esta metodología. Sus Objetivos Específicos fueron Determinar los fundamentos teórico-conceptuales de la Metodología Montessori, a objeto de construir el marco teórico referencial que permita facilitar el estudio de dicha metodología a los estudiantes de las PPIII de la MPPEEB, Precisar los conocimientos y expectativas que poseen los estudiantes de las PPIII de la MPPEEB sobre la Metodología Montessori. a fin de establecer estrategias para capacitarlos en dicha metodología. Diseñar y ejecutar estrategias para atender las necesidades y expectativas que presentan las estudiantes de las PPIII de la MPPEEB, sobre la Metodología Montessori y capacitarlos para aplicar dicha metodología en su práctica profesional. y Evaluar las estrategias de capacitación ejecutadas sobre la metodología Montessori dirigido a los estudiantes de las PPIII de la MPPEEB. La investigación fue de tipo Interactiva, se elaboró, validó y aplicó un cuestionario para la detección de necesidades de los estudiantes acerca de la Metodología Montessori, luego se analizaron los resultados, se diseñó, ejecutó y evaluó un taller sobre dicha metodología. Se lograron los objetivos planteados. Las estudiantes mejoraron los ambientes de aprendizaje en las instituciones y expresaron que se les debe dictar también el taller a las docentes colaboradoras de las instituciones donde realizan las prácticas.SUMMARY: Preschool teachers, despite the provisions of initial education curriculum, continue to develop activities without considering the interests and needs of children. For this reason it is important to know if the contributions of the Montessori methodology could lead to changes in teaching, especially on its students in current formation process and over the institutions where they work in and perform their practices. The overall objective of the research was to determine the knowledge and expectations that students of PPIII-MPPEEB (Professional Practices III, major: Preschool and First Stage of basic education or MPPEEB arisen from the Spanish language acronym) have on the Montessori methodology and its application in the teaching work in early childhood education, to meet their shortcomings and expectations for this methodology. Its specific objectives were to determine the theoretical and conceptual foundations of Montessori methodology, in order to build the theoretical framework which will facilitate the study of such methodology for the students, refine the knowledge and expectations that student of the PPIII-MPPEEB have on Montessori methodology to establish strategies to train them accordingly in the methodology, designing and implementing strategies to attend the needs and expectations presented by students of the PPIII-MPPEEB on the Montessori methodology and enable them to apply this methodology in their professional practices and evaluate the training strategies executed on the Montessori methodology aimed to the already mentioned students. The type of research was Interactive and a questionnaire was developed, validated and applied for the detection of needs of students about the Montessori methodology. Then, the results were analyzed, and a workshop was designed, evaluated and implemented about this methodology. As result, the objectives were fully achieved.
